So, where exactly does this end?

Sadly, turkeys have again voted for Christmas. The decision of 7,823,200 individuals in Australia to reject the traditional definition of marriage, open Pandora’s box and recklessly embark on a social experiment writ large is heart-breaking.

Tragically misguided graffiti scrawled on walls of Anglican church in Australia during campaign debating same-sex marriage before the postal referendum. Another hateful slogan screamed: “Crucify no voters”.

Did they not look at what is happening in the United Kingdom?

· Lib Dem ex-leader Tim Farron facing intolerable pressure over whether or not he believed homosexual behaviour was sinful and being, effectively, forced to resign.

· David Burrows MP, a mild-mannered supporter of the ‘Coalition for Marriage’, had excrement thrown at his house and his children received death threats after their school address was published online.

· Adrian Smith, sacked by a Manchester Housing Trust, for suggesting that the state: shouldn’t impose its rules on places of faith and conscience’.

· Richard Page fired for gross misconduct after articulating that children might enjoy better outcomes were they to be adopted by heterosexual couples.

· Joshua Sutcliffe, a Christian Maths teacher, suspended for referring to a transgender pupil as a girl rather than a boy: “While the suggestion that gender is fluid conflicts sharply with my Christian beliefs, I recognise my responsibility as a teacher and a Christian to treat each of my pupils with respect.”

· Asher’s Family bakery, a tiny business, ruled to have acted unlawfully and discriminated for politely declining to decorate a cake with a political message in support of same-sex marriage because, apparently, the courts have thus far decreed that business owners must be compelled to promote the LGBT cause, irrespective of personal convictions.

· TV programmes, aimed at children as young as three, now promote ‘gender fluidity’, as an enabler of thoughtfulness and individuality, ignoring the testimonies of many who have been forced to endure the pain of “de-transitioning”.

· ‘outside educators’ parachuted into schools to teach children about sex positions, ‘satisfying’ pornography consumption and how to masturbate with concerns regarding STI’s and Promiscuity derided as ‘old-fashioned’.

· a senior government advisor, Dame Louise Casey recently insisting that it is now: “Not Ok for Catholic schools to be homophobic and anti-gay marriage”

· Matthew Scully-Hicks found guilty of murdering an 18-month old toddler, two weeks after formally adopting her. He ent his husband, Craig, text messages saying he was “struggling to cope” and describing the defenseless little girl, Elsie, as “Satan in a babygro” and a “psycho”, whilst neighbours testified he regularly swore at her. What about the paid professionals responsible for her safety? Doubtless blinded by the now-dominant ideology, either fearful to ask too many questions for fear of being labelled homophobic, or completely unaware of the depravity of human nature.

· Josh Rivers, editor of the Gay Times, sacked after Buzzfeed uncovered a series of tweets between 2010 and 2015 which made offensive comments about women, Jewish people, Chinese people, lesbians, transgender people, and people he thought were overweight or ugly. He claims “issues” in his past “prevented” him from showing “respect” to other, again signalling a flight from responsibility, a refusal to acknowledge that we must seek to govern our worst impulses.

Elsie Scully-Hicks (left) murdered by her adopted “dad” because we prioritise the “rights” of wannabe parents over the needs of vulnerable children and don’t ask questions that could see us labelled “homophobic”
Think Elsie was just a “rogue case” — this is Liam Fee who was two-and-a-half years old when he was murdered by his mother, Rachel Fee, and her partner, Nyomi Fee, after a horrendous catalogue of abuse, which professionals failed to spot.

The list could go on but the question remains: is this what those millions want to happen in their country?

Listen to the words of one long-time gay rights campaigner: “We were sexual liberationists and social revolutionaries, out to turn the world upside down… GLF’s [Gay Liberation Front’s] main aim was never equality within the status quo… GLF’s strategy for queer emancipation was to change society’s values and norms, rather than adapt to them. We sought a cultural revolution [that’s what Chairman Mao said and his “Great Leap Forward” in China killed 45 million in four years]…”. This isn’t about equality but takeover — a powerful minority interest group trying to refashion the world in their image because, they believe, “we’re on the highway to hell” anyway.

Western society and civilisation was founded on the Bible, which from Genesis (“God created them male and female”) to Revelation (the Church, portrayed as the bride, united to her husband, Christ) consistently proclaim God’s good plan for human beings, from which we deviate at our peril. Anyone who argues from Scripture otherwise has forgotten the dictum — “A text taken out of context becomes a pretext”.

Whilst we are given free choice, and this should be protected in our societies, morally-ruinous decisions should never be encouraged. The “LGBT anything goes” lobby is undermining the foundations of families and only growing more dangerous, more militant, with every apparent victory.

So, where does this end? I don’t know but I will keep doing all I can to stand for truth and pray for the nations to repent of their brazen rebellion and seek God’s mercy.
